Bloodborne Pathogens Training
Bloodborne pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms that may be present in human blood. Two pathogens of significance are Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Any employee who has the potential for occupational exposure to blood or Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM) is required to receive training according to the bloodborne pathogens standard. This program is designed to give you up - to - date, accurate information consistent with OSHA Compliance Guidelines, March 6, 1992, CPL 2-2.44C. The text features complete OSHA documentation on bloodborne pathogens and training will take 2 - 3 hours. It is presented with a video showing real life situations that could be encountered. This will leave the student well informed and capable of handling an actual situation.
