Standard First Aid - Level II
INDUSTRIAL TRAINING IN FIRST AID
This program is ideal for use in all First Aid Courses of 20 hours. The 160 - page, full color text program provides a more in - depth coverage of First Aid and CPR. It is useful for corporate, industrial and manufacturing establishments where a more extensive course is needed. This text covers all topics from Level 1, but in much greater detail. This course will more than meet all OSHA First Aid guidelines.
While the timeframe will be set up by your company, a recommended timeframe for training would be to divide up the course into Five - 4 hour classes, conducted one day a week for 5 weeks.
At the end of the Level 2 First Aid Course the student will participate in a live exercise consisting of a company employee made up with simulated injuries. This is known as a moulage drill. Each student that completes the Level 2 First Aid Course will receive a First Aid Certification good for 3 years as well as a CPR Certification good for 2 years.
Two additional moulage drills are also included in the cost of the program. It is recommended these drills are conducted within 18 months after completion of the course. These will assist with continuing education needed to maintain and update skills learned.
