Basic Incipient Fire Extinguishment Training

4  HOURS

People first learn about fire as children, they know that fire consumes fuel, needs air and gives off heat and light. Normally, that degree of understanding is all that one needs. Incipient fire personnel, however, have to take their understanding of this process a step or two further. In particular, they have to know more about the chemical process that goes on, the methods of heat transfer a fire can use, the make up and nature of the fuels, and the environment the fire needs. It is this knowledge that arms the incipient fire personnel to contain a fire and win.

The portable extinguisher is an extremely common fire protection device. In this program, participants will learn about different types of fire extinguisher and how to correctly use each type in both a classroom and practical setting.
