Confined Space Rescue Training Emergency Response Team

24 Hours

About 300 workers in the U.S. die each year in Confined Spaces. Why? Oxygen deficiency, fire and explosion or toxic fumes? No, primarily they die because they did not know about those confined spaces hazards, the protective equipment or the safety procedures required by OSHA Confined spaces present one of the most dangerous situations faced by rescuers. Statistics will show that the risk of rescuer injury or death is always present. Sadly, 36% of confined space fatalities are would be rescuers. To make these situations as safe as possible, having an in house rescue team trained to recognize the hazards and safety precautions associated with confined spaces is essential. This in house rescue team is ready at a moments notice when you have a situation arise with or in a confined space.

Topics covered in this program include OSHA requirements as well as many other topics including: scene survey, equipment familiarization, patient packaging, patient removal devices and rope rescue training and equipment types. This course will require hands on training using live victims for the purpose of practice and reinforcement skills.

Due to the nature of this program, an in-house evaluation will be needed to determine necessary and appropriate Confined Space Rescue Equipment that will be needed.

After this evaluation, specialized equipment must be purchased by the company. This can be provided in the overall course cost. It is also recommended that each employee participate in a Standard First Aid Level II Course or equivalent.
